Benedict’s love story takes center stage in Bridgerton season 4

The fourth season of the popular Netflix romance Bridgeton focuses on the love story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Beckett.

A logline for the upcoming season reads:

“Bridgerton’s fourth season focuses on bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his older and younger brothers both happily married, Benedict has no desire to settle down — until he meets a glamorous Lady in Silver at his mother’s masked ball.”

The new season is based on Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An offer from a gentlemanwhere Benedict goes in search of Sophie Beckett, the mysterious Lady in Silver, after seeing her at a party.

“Benedict has always been a little bit lost — or free, depending on how you want to look at it. But now he’s trying to find something more solid within himself,” Thompson said Tudum.

“He’s a charming guy who’s trying to find his way,” said executive producer Shonda Rhimes. “He’s very delightful and funny. I’m looking forward to everyone seeing him.”

At the end of season 3, Benedict ended his relationship with Lady Tilly Arnold.

Season 4 is expected to begin filming in September 2024, with a premiere date of 2026.
